about us
Sightline Foundation
Sightline Foundation is a South Africa based, community focused organisation established to support improved response and coordination in missing person cases.
The Foundation is led by three Directors who share a commitment to social impact, accountability and community safety.
Sightline Foundation supports families and communities through coordinated response, verified information and trusted partnerships when someone goes missing.
When a loved one goes missing, the first hours are often filled with fear, uncertainty and unanswered questions. Sightline Foundation exists to help reduce confusion during these critical moments by strengthening how information is shared and how communities respond.
Our work focuses on responsible communication, community engagement and collaboration with existing services, ensuring that accurate, verified information reaches the right people at the right time. Through structured support and collective action, we aim to help families feel less alone and communities feel more prepared.
OUR MISSION:
To support the safe and timely recovery of missing persons by encouraging accurate information sharing, coordinated action and compassionate community involvement.
HOW WE WORK:
We focus on:
- Promoting verified, responsible communication
- Encouraging community participation without speculation
- Supporting families through clear processes and guidance
- Collaborating with organisations already working in this space
Our approach is designed to strengthen, not duplicate existing efforts.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Sightline Foundation works alongside existing services and community structures. We do not replace law enforcement, emergency responders or official investigative processes.
